BRING ANTARCTICA TO YOUR AUDIENCE

From the only person to authentically recreate Ernest Shackleton’s journey of survival, Tim Jarvis AM brings your audiences closer to the epic experience than ever before in a historical re-creation documentary VR experience.

The Thin Ice VR experience is available to hire for presentation in museums, galleries, festivals and other cultural centres around the world. Packages for educational purposes in schools, colleges and university campuses are also available.

Complimenting the 23-minute Thin Ice VR film, optimized for Oculus Quest, your presentation will have access to a range of film assets for use in exhibition design and marketing, online and social support directly from the official Thin Ice VR social media channels and the compelling Torrens University Australia online short course.

When your exhibit is running, film ambassadors can provide additional audience engagement, subject to availability.

For larger presentations, film production exhibitory including costumes and props is available, alongside consultation on experience design and VR headset and experience synchronisation hardware supply.

THE THIN ICE VR EXPERIENCE

Take a look into what you and your audiences can expect in our documented video from the inaugural season of Thin Ice VR at the South Australian Museum, presented by the Adelaide Film Festival.

The experience begins before visitors put their VR headset on, stepping into Antarctica without leaving their seat and asking them to take positive action on climate change.

THIN ICE VR OFFICIAL TRAILER

The whole thing gives an extremely powerful message on climate change… I think people who have not seen this film have got a considerable treat in store, I would certainly hope to see it again myself.

Alexandra Shackleton

Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Granddaughter and President of the James Caird Society

It meshes together the real story, which the museums are all about authentic stories, but with the digital technological way of accessing those stories.

Brian Oldman

Director, South Australian Museum

Thin Ice VR is not only an SOS about the tragedy of climate change, but it is an exciting new production where it pushes the boundaries of an emerging medium in screen.

Mat Kesting

CEO and Creative Director, Adelaide Film Festival

I think this is an important and very valuable instrument to enable everyone to understand the impact of climate change and to understand the responsibility that we have.

Vice-Chancellor, Torrens University Australia
